Navi vs Midna - Who is the more annoying?

This was bound to happen. Ever since Ocarina of time, Zelda games have had a "helper" character (or at least the 3d ones do) that tells you what you should need to do. for instance, Midna in Twilight Princess and the infamous navi from Ocarina of time. These two chractersBoth play significant roles in their respective games, but one must ask...
Who is the more annoying?

Navi is infamous for her well known catch phrase "Hey! Listen!" Fans of ocarina have suffered many sleepless nights because they cannot get navi's continuous shouts at link out of their heads. Most of the time, navi is used to lock onto enemies. Other than that, she is usless.
OR IS SHE???
when playing ocarina the other day, navi's usual "hey!" came up. However, in
stead of telling me usless info that i already know, She told me where i needed to go. if i hadn't already known where i was to go, this information would have been incredibly valuable.

midna is by far the more interesting character. Her personality throughout the game goes from being rather controlling to being more kind. Midna does not help you nlock on, but does help you to cross large gaps in wolf form, and to quicktravel around hyrule. This makes traveling much easier.
HOWEVER, Midna tells you where you need to g
o only once. WHEN YOUR NOT PAYING ATTENTION. For a helper character, she isnt that helpful. the manual that comes with twilight princess says to ask midna for help. I did. all i got was "Link, Hurry! we have to save Zelda!"
tell me something i dont know.

So to sum up
Navi-far more talkative but with useful information
Midna- Cooler than navi... but when it comes to guidance she falls short. (not a joke about her being an imp)

    1. A lot quieter and her descriptions are funny but she is not mean like Midna was.

Eventually Tatl warms up to you unlike Midna's 3 second changeover.

It's funny watching Tatl hit herself on the door when SkullKid closed it on her in the beginning as if she could break thru 2 feet of solid wood.

    2. My favorite scene is when you go to the tree trunk and you watch the story play out of how she met SK and I LOVE the astronomy room.

It is the most calming room in the game and I felt tempted to just wait out the end of the world there looking thru the telescope.

  4. in my opinion navi is far more annoying, she has no character to her, she's just a cruel and unusual way to send someone insane, while midna can be annoying she at least has character.

  5. I felt like slapping Midna so hard it would cause her strange head to spin around due to her *bossy* attitude.

Midna is a PERFECT TEXTBOOK Mary Sue and I am sure if it weren't for Midna the TP game would only get half the scores at the most.
Nintendo knew that people would hate the game so they added Midna in to appeal to the Western fanbase celebrity mindset.

What the fuck where they doing delaying the game those 3 long years as they made it look crappier then the E3 demos which were suppose to be high resolution graphics and TOOK AWAY some features that were promised.

It's a sad time when Zelda fans care more about hot boobs then improving the gameplay and what happened to Princess Zelda anyways?

She only shows up like a few times and gets pushed to the side while in OOT she was friendlier and did something very important.
She was the one who opened up the gate to Death Peak or whatever it's called.

  6. Continued:

I think WW has the best backstory to Link then any other games and while KORL is bossy and keeps secrets in order to manipulate Link into doing his tasks he is not only not annoying but he has a sense of calmness to him.

I actually felt sorry for him being trapped as a boat but he was very useful being able to equip yourself with a crane for treasure and arming yourself with canons.

Too bad there aren't more hard monsters to put those canons to use.

I was hoping Twilight Princess would improve on Link's backstory more like how TWW Link had a little sister who gives him her telescope for the day until she got kidnapped and then the whole story about Link's grandma being sick was actually touching.

I almost cried when I saw how sick Link's grandma was and there is Orca who taught Link some moves and the Orca sidequest.

The whole Valoo thing was pretty funny because he always kept sticking his tail back in after Link freed it until the battle was over.

    I just rolled over laughing.

I also love the little details in the graphics like seeing the wind currents and birds flying in the direction you set the wind to.

Also when Link comes out of the water he is dripping wet and the rich lady who makes you pay a fine if you smash her shiny jars that have a *Break us* look to them.
