GoldenEye Madness

I havn't played many games that have proven to be more addictive than GoldenEye. It's just...so much fun. Both in single, and in multiplayer. I've spent more time in multiplayer than single, but they are both excellent. I'll bring a full review of GoldenEye 007 Wii once I've finished the single player on operative. I don't actually know if I'm going to be able to do that, because multiplayer's allure is too strong. But single player is still tonnes of fun, unlike COD Black Ops Wii where only multiplayer (zombies or otherwise) is fun.

So here is the deal. we must find images of SSBB characters before two weeks from today. they need to be images of SSBB characters and once you choose one, you cannot change. (NOTE: THE IMAGE INCLUDED IN THIS POST IS NOT AN ENTRY, IT IS AN EXAMPLE) The image can also be of the character in his/her background game. E.G: pitt is from Kid Icarus.

The Grand Master of All Things Bad: 4EVER :-)

Who won the contest?

Pokemon: where could it go from here??

As you may have noticed, I recently purchased and completed pokemon white version. well, this post is about where they could go from here. its been a long time since Prof. oak gave the trainers of 1995 their first pokemon. Since then, it has evolved so many times that it isn't funny. From Red and blue to Gold, Silver and Crystal, to Ruby, saphire firered, LeafGreen and emerald toDiamond, pearl, platinum heartgold and soulsilver and finally, to Black and White. 5 generations of pokemon and they are still good games with tonnes of replay value. I'm considering restarting my diamond (so I can actually capture the legendaries in the ame this time other than the immensly powerful ones). possibilities for the future? maybe remakes of the Hoenn region games, or maybe a universal game for the unova region, or maybe a game where you cand travel to all the regions, rather than just one or two. post your oppinions as comments

So, who won the contest???

At terfle's house, we agreed that the winner would be decided by the three of us, as long as we do not vote for ourselves. here is mine again->

since I do not have the power to add other images, I'll leave that for 4ever to do.

post comments. the person who has the most wins!!!

4EVER's top five games with the best music: 5

These are the nintendo games that I think have the best pieces of music in them. I'll do the list starting here at No. 5. If anybody doesn't think the same as I do, then don't whine and complain and say: This is stupid. I hate 4EVER because he has a different opinion from me. If you are into doing that however, go make a Rebecca Black "Friday" parody and put it on the internet. Okay, here we go.

Number 5: Metroid Prime Trilogy.
I think the music here is quick paced, and futuristic enough to match the Metroid Series, but is still cool enough to be used in a different game. I never got tired of the music playing in the MP 2: Echoes multiplayer. Not once. Here's a piece I like:

Okay, here me out:

There you are, walking around in your suit, carrying only a power beam. You morph into your ball and roll about for a while, looking for that precious crate which contains that evil weapon which kills many a intergalactic bounty hunter. You fire a few shots. Damn. Only a Light Beam. Suddenly, without warning, another player jumps out from behind you and cries: WARNING! I'M GOING TO ATTACK YOU! Your lack of warning makes you disorientated for a moment as you swerve around trying to find the silent attacker. Only, you can't because you are frozen on the spot due the the fact that you've been hit by a charged shot from a dark beam. You mash the "B" button and fire back at him. The two of you strafe each other and fire beams, but you've just been hit with a charged shot again!. You're not doing well, 44 health remaining. But you've barely hurt your enemy, since he's still on 80 health. You have two options. Guess which one is right. (Hint: Not the text in red)

You decide to keep shooting, even though you aren't in good shape. Sure, you could run off and get a better weapon, but no, you're too macho. He keeps hitting you with that charged dark beam attack, meaning not only do you have less health, but also a worse weapon. Arrgghh. If only you hadn't been so macho. ZZZTTT. You're screen cuts out. You've died. You lose.

You decide to run. What else are you supposed to do? Fight back even though he has much more health and a better weapon? And, you've only just realized, he has massive damage as well. Better skedaddle. You transform into a morph ball and roll off, enemy hot on your heels. But, thankfully, there is a cannon. You roll into it. It pops up, also killing your enemy in the process. Whew, you think, wiping your sweaty controller against your pants. Good thing I decided to run. I might have died if I hadn't.

So...Terfle...see what I mean?

Meanwhile, back at Terfle's...

On monday, the three of us headed over to Terfle's house for a good old fashion gaming session. Not online play, just good old fashion split screen. Dr. Nick was fashionably late, but so fashionably that it went out of style. We spent most of our time playing MPT and SSBB. We started by all teaming up on a level 9 Pit, with the three of us all on handicaps of 300% damage. This was challenging, yet rewarding. Our Metroid fun came from shooting each other to bits. Terfle always gets angry at me because I make a "tactical retreat" whenever the going gets tough and go look for power ups and weapons and health, but I don't mind. The winning was mostly done by Terfle and I over 3 of the maps, Dr Nick has not played the MPT as much as either of us and was a little less experienced...but when it came to the map shooting grounds, he was all over us. That map has a turret and...well...let's just say the Doctor was quite good with it. We also played my personal favourite Wii game: New Super Mario Bros. Wii and one of my favourite DS games, The Legend of Zelda Spirit Tracks.

And today, I finally got GoldenEye Wii. At last!!! I'll probably post about that in the future...who am I kidding probably.

5th gen pokemon bio: Tornadus

Tornadus, as I said previously, is the roaming legendary pokemon of pokemon black. However, it is a flying type... the first flying type ONLY pokemon ever!!

this is quite interesting as before pokemon black and white, flying types were mainly dual types: flying and normal, flying and water, etc. This can lead to many advantages and also many disadvantages. the majority of the advantages is that fighting type moves become half as effective against it as they would be on a normal and flying. the main disadvantage is that it is susceptible to a ghost type attack.

Like thundurus, tornadus excels with it's Sp attack so be sure to teach it hurricane at lv 67 (if you bother to train it to that level.

REVELATION: In my previous blog, I stated that bringing both thundurus and tornadus into the same game and taking them to the abundant shrine would reveal a legendary pokemon to be captured. That pokemon's name is MAGIKARP!!!

just kidding, the pokemon's real name is landorus. Mor information will be revealled in my next 5th gen pokemon bio.

Easter Eggs and what not

Easter, a holiday that i greatly enjoy yet always feel terrible at the end of. The main reason for this would of course be the copious amounts of chocolate that i eat during this short day. A common gaming term you might hear is 'Easter egg'. It refers to a hidden joke, or secret, generally something that the devs put in for fun. An example would be in Metroid prime corruption, in side your ship if you active the telephone device and type in certain codes you get messages from the devs generally saying things like 'i hope you enjoy the game, we worked hard on it' and stuff like that. Another one that i only just found, was that if you type in super scribble snake into super scribblenauts, you can actually get metal gear's Solid Snake. The game super scribblenauts is full of easter eggs (type in lol wut), and i could spend ages naming heaps, so im going to change the topic. The seriousness of Easter eggs can vary greatly. From the secret town inside the wishing well in Drawn to life, where devs give personal messages, to the turret song in Portal 2 which is four turrets making beeping noises in harmony, which is just a funny joke. I often wonder how these things became known as Easter eggs, If you have any ideas leave them in the comments.
