In the gamecube version of Super Smash Bros, Lucario wasn't around at the time, instead they had one of the most recognizable Pokemon around to replace him, Mewtwo. Back then, if you caught Mewtwo, everyone would be gathering around your Game Boy just to see what level he was. But those good old days are long gone now, so, in Brawl the 4th gen Pokemon Lucario has stepped in and actually has a lot in common with his Melee predecessor. For starters, Lucario has aura sphere as his standard "B" move. You charge it up and then you can choose to release it straight away, or you can use it more effectively carry it around with you and wait until the time is right ti unleash it. This is virtually symmetrical to Mewtwo's shadow ball attack. His up "B" attack is also extremely similar. It is extremespeed, his recovery move, but unlike most other recovery moves his does not do any damage. You merely control where it takes you. This was also what Mewtwo's recovery move, teleport, did, even though extremespeed is easier to control. Their side "B" attacks are completely different, Lucario's side "B" sees him grabbing his enemy and punching them. The move is called force palm, as seen in the game. It's quite powerful, much more so than Mewtwo's side "B" where he flips them. But out of all of Lucario's great move set, one stands out. His down "B" double team is a counter move. Much like Marth and Ike (and Roy in Melee) is reflects the damage of any attacks performed, but only if you time it just right. Mewtwo did not have this move. He has the disable attack. While it did not do much damage, they did send you flying. Using disable once would give them a few seconds of shield break, as second disable would send them flying.
The two of them seem to be on the power side of the roster, although the do jump high and fall slowly. Lucario has much better mid-air attacks than Mewtwo though. Their smash attacks are super strong.
So who's better?
Mewtwo was awesome in melee. 'this will be the last post i make for 9 days'
