The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass was the first of two Zelda games to hit the DS, and it hit hard. It had some amazing ideas for controls, puzzles and boss battles, utilising both screens in a unique manner. The sword combat deserves a mention. It's remarkably fun, if simple.
Set after the events of Wind Waker, Phantom Hourglass let you explore the open sea as Toon Link once again to save Zelda. While this game has so much going for it, there is one thing that is really frustrating about it which pushes it back. The Temple of the Ocean King. WHYYYYYYYY!?!?!?
For starters, each time you return to it (and you return to it a lot) You have to do everything you did beforehand all over again. Sure, there are a few shortcuts, but seriously! Plus, you have a yippy skippy time limit as well. But Phantom Hourglass does do much right. The temples, the exploring, the ship combat, the boss battles. So good!
sweet zombeh jeebaz. not the temple of the ocean king.
